What are we?
Imagine a website where you will be able to view rally videos, photo libraries, scrap books, blogs and articles from the Rallying world- past and present…..that’s what rallydrivers.com is all about!
What’s first on the itinerary…
We will start off with footage from Kenya’s past, including the world famous Safari Rally, the Kenya National Championship…. and perhaps the ‘Rhino Charge’s’ of old which will bring back many fond memories for those that participated, and show the current generation how far the event has come. For those that don’t know, the Rhino Charge is an off road event held once a year to raise money for conservation.
As a teaser of what is to come, we go all the way back to the last century (!!)- 1999 and Round 3 of the Kenya National Rally Championship. This rally saw Kenyan rally legend Ian Duncan make a comeback to the National Rallying scene… in a vehicle that could be described as… ‘unusual’? Regardless, the outcome of this event lay the foundation for the evolution of victorious 4×4 based vehicles that Ian developed over the years.
What’s next on the itinerary…
Whilst we are starting with Kenya’s rallying scene, we aim to collaborate with enthusiasts, journalists, photographers and videographers from across the globe to submit and upload worldwide content, making the site the ‘go-to’ space to enjoy Rallying.
We invite and encourage anyone willing to contribute to get in touch at bwaaap@rallydrivers.com.
